About Amalia

“When I look into the eyes of an animal
I do not see an animal. I see a living being.

I see a friend. I feel a soul.”

~Anthony Douglas Williams

Hello, I’m a Chinese medicine practitioner and holistic healer devoted to nurturing the sacred bond between humans and animals. My path weaves together Eastern healing traditions and Western wellness approaches to create a practice rooted in mutual care, connection, and respect. PAWS to Heal Together was born from the belief that when our relationships with animals flourish, so does the wellbeing of our shared planet.

The Heart Behind PAWS to Health Together

As a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist with over two decades of experience in somatic and hands-on healing modalities, I support both humans and animals—honoring the deep, healing connection we share across species.

My work is rooted in the principle of co-regulation: the understanding that ALL nervous systems influence one another in constant, subtle ways. This cross-species resonance forms the heart of my practice and reflects a One Health orientation—recognizing that human, animal, and environmental wellbeing are deeply interconnected.

Whether I’m working with people, animals, or people alongside their beloved animal companions, I bring a grounded, heart-centered presence. My approach weaves together science, embodied awareness, and intuitive wisdom to offer practical, accessible tools for nervous-system regulation, emotional balance, and mutual wellbeing.

My Path

I began my journey in human wellness over 20 years ago, with nutrition, personal training, massage, and yoga as my entry points. Twelve years ago, I earned my Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and became a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist, deepening my commitment to whole-person care.

Alongside acupuncture, I integrate somatic practices, breath awareness, and gentle energy work to support regulation and resilience. I am a Reiki Level I practitioner, offering Reiki as a subtle, non-invasive form of support for both humans and animals—particularly in moments of stress, transition, or emotional vulnerability.

Working Across Species

A lifelong animal lover and guardian, it has always been my dream to extend this healing work to animals. That dream began to take form five years ago through teaching animal massage and acupressure. Today, I am completing advanced training in animal acupuncture and cold laser therapy, deepening my commitment to offering integrative, holistic care for any animal in need.

My work is especially devoted to those who care for animals—veterinary professionals, animal care workers, and animal-centric homes—recognizing that sustainable caregiving requires support for the caregiver as much as for the animal.

PAWS to Heal Together exists as a space where this relationship is honored: where healing is relational, grief is tended with care, and regulation is shared across species.
